After conquering South America with his fingers of fury, Brazilian Kiko Loureiro has been playing in his band Angra since 1991. His musical reputation has spread worldwide, and in 2015 he joined another legendary metal band: Megadeth. Now, Ibanez is pleased to add New Kiko’s signature model, to the Ibanez Premium line.
This model has a thick Alder body with beautiful Flamed Maple top. A unique scoop cutaway, deeper cut horn at the back of the body allows even easier access to high frets from any angles. A tilt-positioned output jack on this guitar holds guitar cables securely. Alongside the low-profile design, the recessed control knobs and Edge-Zero II tremolo ensure comfortable playing. In terms of electronics, Kiko’s original DiMarzio® pickups are designed to reflect the wide range of Kiko’s playing. The neck and bridge pickups, both humbuckers, have medium output and a balanced sound in terms of frequency response. In order to balance with the neck and bridge pickups, the single-coil middle pickup is more powerful and warm-sounding than the typical vintage single-coil. Additionally, a coil-tap switch for volume control enables varied sound creation. A gig bag is included.
